Follow the directions below for the final part of the journey, as they will take you along the blue route, avoiding the route marked in red which is along narrow and at times bumpy tracks.
From Glasgow/Balloch
Follow A811, cross over Drymen Bridge (sign for Endrick Water), look out for our sign (pictured) and turn left onto Castle Avenue (if you reach Drymen turn-off you have gone too far). You’ll pass a lodge gatehouse on your right. Continue up the road (there are speed bumps) for 1/4 mile and then take a left fork at which you will see another sign for Buchanan Castle Venue. 1/4 mile further along you reach a cross-roads with a red mailbox - again, follow the Buchanan Castle Venue sign here and turn left. Continue into the large car park.
From Edinburgh/Stirling
There are two exits for Drymen off of A811. Go past both and then look out for our sign (pictured) and turn right onto Castle Avenue. You’ll pass a lodge gatehouse on your right. Continue up the road (there are speed bumps) for 1/4 mile and then take a left fork at which you will see another sign for Buchanan Castle Venue. 1/4 mile further along you reach a cross-roads with a red mailbox - again, follow the Buchanan Castle Venue sign here and turn left. Continue into the large car park.
